Just Like Daddy

Here's one of the places Daddy played when he was a boy. Pretty idyllic. 

Camp. Really Beautiful Camp

This is view at Simon's camp, Blueberry Cove. That's a small inlet off the bay you see I'm the distance. 

He especially loved the animals. Here he is with the goats Pancho and Mega. 

And with Mufasa the bunny. 

Simon goes back next week- hopefully he will love it as much the second week. 

Gotcha Day!

It has been an amazing 8 years since Simon got got!  We celebrated gotcha day in style today. 

First was a good breakfast out- unpictured are the strawberry and whipped cream topped pancakes. 

We then spent some good time with cats a local shelter. Simon has made very good friends with some of them. 

He then got to play his favorite computer game, minecraft, with Daddy and a new game he's gotten into- magic the gathering. This is unpictured as well. 

We then went to a movie. 

And out to dinner.

One scoop of lobster tracks. One scoop of strawberry. Hot caramel. Crushed peanut butter cups. M&Ms. Gummy worms. Rainbow sprinkles. Whipped cream. And, of course, a cherry. 

What a great gotcha day. What a great kid. What great love and support from our whole family. 

Fun In Friendship

We went to Friendship days in a small town 40 minutes away. (The town is named Friendship.) It was very sweet and Simon proved his strength. 

Simon did ring the bell on one of his tries. 

Delicious?

Yup. It's Maine. And it's lobster time. We had soft shells and for the first time Sumom did 90% of getting the meat out on his own. This was near the end- it looks more like a crab.

This is where I ate my breakfast this morning.  I'm a lucky person. 

Making A Scarf

We found a great stall at the Corn Hill arts festival in Rochester.

You could make your own silk scarf-

First you sprinkled dye onto water. 

After you were happy with you colors. ..

You swirled them around. 

Carefully placed the silk ontop and ...

You'd made a scarf!

Power's On!

RGE has done their job well. The outage is only a fun story not a real inconvenience.  

Power Soon

The electricity isn't on yet, but there are lovely guys in the backyard working on it. 

If you look very carefully you can find 4 men working.  Some are only visible by their hard hats deep in the bushes. 

Power Outage

The power went out here.  Big storm rolled through. But Will still managed to cook dinner in a headlamp!

Trip To Seabreeze

We love going to Seabreeze and this vacation was no exception. 

Will and I had fun on the carousel.  Simon had fun on everything he rode- especially if went upside down. 

4th Fun

The fireworks were wonderful and we had a blast with glow jewelry and some illegal sparklers.
