Highlights From Maine

We spent a good long time in Maine again this year.  Our camera is bronken so we were working with a loaner (thanks Grandma Sue and Grandpa Steve) so our pictures aren't as plentiful as some years.

This is Simon's face when he got to the top of Bald Rock Mountain.

We all love the view from this hike.

Simon also found blueberries to eat.

He ate his bluberries in many creative ways.
The fruit was amazing this trip- we hit the trifecta of blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries.

We ate yummy lobsters too!

We walked out the breakwater.

We swang on swings.

Some of us jumped really high.

Some of us kayaked.  That's Will in the center of the picture.

We visited a neat observation tower.

It was a good trip!

Big Waterfalls

OK OK you probably figured out that we also went to Niagara Falls from that last picture.

We had fun doing lots of touristy things-
The Maid of the Mist ride was pretty funny because it was raining so we weren't always sure if it was falls spray or rain getting us wet.

Here's Grandma getting blown away by the American Falls.

We rode a neat tram called the Aero Car out over the famous rapids below the falls.  Worth doing if you ever go.

We took a pleasant walk along side the very powerful rapids.  It was impressive.

And we did the Cave of the Winds walk too.

That's Mama and Simon with their arms up on the hurrican deck.  It was SO much fun.

Luckily, Grandpa took some nice pictures from up above too.

Little Waterfalls

We had a lovely trip to a state park called Stony Brook where you can hike right in the water.  Simon and I decided that we needed a nap in the river.

It's a great place for kids.

Even crazy ones who try out natural waterslides.

Wait!  That's not Stony Brook!

Visit to Rochester

We had lovely long visit to Rochester.  Sadly our camera is dead so our picture situaiton is a bit sketchy.  Many fun things were not photographed- there was lots of swimming in the pool, Simon got quite comfortable with the deep end.  There was a fun trip to Seabreeze as usual.

And now for some photographs.
Simon went to Amusement Park Science Camp.
At the end of the week there was a student run carnival.

Simon was in charge of the same game he won Whitetail at last year!

He took his job very seriously and even wrote a guide for taking care of a fish.

We also visited the children's museum as always.
But this time the performeres were a bit different!
