Fabulous Fund Raising!

The 'Fall In Love With Dance' fund raiser that Julia and her co-worker/friend Ila organized was a smashing success! (Especially because Will sprinted to Radio Shack to save the day by getting the right kind of adaptor we needed for the microphone.)

There was tons of fancy dancing.

The great t-shirts were so seriously coveted that we had orders for more the three times our original order. (If anyone reading this wants one - e-mail me!)

And Simon seems to want to follow in Mama's footsteps- we couldn't get him off the mic. (Which was unplugged.)

Triumph!

Sarah and Will ran in their first Road Runners race today! A chilly 5K right here in Prospect Park. They both did really well- better than they each expected- and felt great! So watch out half marathon! Will's time was 26:02 and Sarah lost her chip but she certainly came in under 30 minutes, probably closer to 29. Hooray for them both!

Simon and Will run to congratulate Sarah after the race.

Simon cheers for Daddy! (Yes, he is airborn! Our 44 pounder can get himself pretty far off the ground these days.)

Mid February Musings

Simon called this a costume. We call it a laundry basket.

An impromptu slunber party had Uncle Robert wondering about the wisom of trying to sleep on the flagstone floor in February.

And yet again, proof that Simon is not Will's biological child- Simon enjoying cleaning with Mama.

A Beaming Birthday Boy

It turns out that turing 3 is pretty great.

Simon loved everything about his special day. In fact, as we were driving home that evening from a calm dinner out, Simon announced, "Today was a wonderful day."

Parents could not get higher praise.

A Music and Dance Party is the Best!

Simon's favorite music teacher Joanne provided the fun for his 3rd birthday party. She brings tons of energy, fun instruments, and a great ability to make up songs on the spot. (Hopefully we'll post the video of her 'F Train' song for Simon soon.)

Along with instruments their were lots and lots of balloons. We started with around 60 and maybe 12 made it to the end of the party.

Birthday Cake is Yummy

Simon doing his part to make the frosting- eating it.

One of the finished cakes! S for Simon!

What was left after the party- notice the true destruction of the chocolate cake- that was because after having two pieces Simon snuck back for more frosting!
