A Fall Visit

We had a nice weekend visit from Grandma Sue and Grandpa Steve.

One afternoon we spent relaxing at Jesse and Sarah El's place. While there were lots of grown-ups there having fun, Simon and Iva certainly stole the show. (Simon also stole Jesse's chance to blow out his birthday candles.)

The next day was rainy, but it didn't stop us from enjoying a visit to the rockets and the New York Science Center in Queens.

And Simon got to cook with Grandma Sue. He admired her expertise, she told him it was because she had been cooking for a long long time.

Art

Simon is starting to get recognisably representational. Here is the sun and the ground.

This is from school- one of the teaching assistants at school is very interested in and talented at art- we will be posting lots of the fun things as they come home!

School Update

Ah.... The joys of parent-hood. Little pre-fab award certificates matter a lot because they make your child beam with pride.

And there is also fun art work. This is a portion of a 'race car' painting done at school by driving a car through paint and then across paper. Very cool.
