Some Traditions Are A Little Odd

 The traditional passover rock exchange.

First, approach the target slowly.

Make eye contact.

Trade rocks.

The traditional passover whip cream making.

We had a lovely family gathering.  Holidays are so meaningful because they bring us together with those we love.

And now….
Something really not pretty…
(And nothing to do with passover)
You have been warned…
Scroll only if you are brave…

Simon's toenail in it's most bizarre stage.

He could flip it around entirely but it was still firmly attached in one corner.
It has since fallen off.  He really wanted us to smell it.

This Is Awesome!

We had our first Six Flags day on Monday.
Simon is now tall enough to ride everything in the park.
And he did.
(Except rides that weren't open.)
On his first big coaster of the day he was feeling pretty nervous- it was one with 5 or 6 inversions. Will and I were a bit worried that by riding it we might be putting an end to our day, but Simon said he was ready.  We got strapped in and the ride began.  At the first drop Simon began to shout, "This is AWESOME!" at the top of his lungs and did so for the entire ride, and the ride after that, and the ride after that.  The picture below is from his 4th major coaster of the day.
Simon is a beast when it comes to rides.

Easter And Toes

Eggs early in the morning.  Sometimes we are just too excited to sleep.

Warning!  Gross picture below.  Scroll only if you mean it.
It's a toe picture.

The Ugly And The Lovely

Simon is losing his toenail.  A while ago- several months- Simon had a bad toe stub and it seems to have killed his nail.  It is still attached on one side so we are just letting it hang on as long as it wants.  We are pretty sure we can see the new nail growing underneath.  But it is pretty ugly and gross.  Enjoy SImon's toes in maximum size.

Now for some lovely to counter-act that.
We had another pleasant walk on the high line.  We had a yummy picnic, enjoyed people watching, and hunted for various spring flowers.  We took a bloom guide with us and found 8 different varieties.  My favorite was name "striped squill".
