Trick-or-Treating 2007

Here's some snippets of Court Jester Simon on his way to visit his fans in the building and on his way back with his loot. The lighting isn't great, but you'll see that Simon is getting the idea that this is fun.

Super Cool Jack'O Lanterns!

The fabulous faces created by (in order) Mama, Megan (carved by Sarah), Hannah (carved by Sarah), Jeff, and Ali (also carved by Sarah).

Jeff's didn't photograph as great as it looked lit, here's a flash shot to show the detail.

A spooky shot of Simon and Mama's pumpkin.

The best picture of the night. As you can imagine, Simon was entranced by the lit jack'o lanterns.

You may wonder where Will's pumpkin is. Well, Simon drew all over it while Will was cooking a great dinner for all of us. Maybe we'll get it carved another time.

Snarrs with pumpkins!

We had such a good time with the Snarrs who brought us great pumpkins to carve.
Here Jeff and Sarah are working hard while Hannah looks on.

Hannan and Simon are looking for extra pumpkins under the crib.

Little Ali might have been the only one who didn't have a great time because Simon kept attacking her. Really. We think he was overwhelmed by so much female beauty. Here she is hiding.

Here's Megan enjoying the finished product.

A Visit from Grandpa Steve and Grandma Sue

Simon had a fast but wonderful visit with his Rochester Grandparents who were in town a short 24 hours! But it was worth it. Simon got to read books with Grandpa Steve.

Go swinging with Grandma Sue.

Get tickled silly in his chair with a brand new cushion sewn by Grandma Sue.

And visit the baby walrus at the aquarium. (OK, this activity was as much for Mama as for Simon.)

We are also pleased to report that Simon has started calling both his Grandpas 'Pa-pa' and seems to be starting to say 'Jean' and 'Sue'. We expect this will increase the volume of gifts from both sets of grandparents.

Simon and the Chalk

Simon has a reputation at the playground for really loving his chalk.

He takes it everywhere.

He has unorthodox drawing techniques.

He spends time in deep contemplation of the true meaning of chalk.

Simon and the slide

OK I think I can figure this out.

Almost there.

Whoooeee!

I am so cool.

Jeff and Morgan's sort of wedding

We all went to celebrate Jeff Morrison and Morgan Moss's 1st wedding anniversary at a lovely party at Columbia. The silly news is that we managed to fail to get any pictures of Morgan- who looked stunning.

But here's Grandma Jean pointing out Hamilton Fish, a relative on the Morrison side. President of Columbia University seems a fine goal for Simon to shoot for.

And Jeff Morrison practicing his parenting skills with Simon. (Jeff and Morgan will become parents probably some time in January.)
