Birthday Burger

Will wanted a good burger for his birthday.  So that's what he got.

He also got a lot of love.  Yay!

Skating WIth Friends

We went skating again with Phoebe.

I think SImon may have felt he was heaven.

Watch out- we have a new love around here.

Simon got a very cool gift that included real clowning balloons.  

And now he and I are learning to make balloon art.

And it is all over the house.

I thought I was caught up… but…

Here's from our big snow last week.

Simon enjoyed being buried in the snow.

And he enjoyed eating it.

Someone much bigger enjoyed making angels.

(Hint- it wasn't Mama.)

Happy New Year

On New Year's Day we happily went skating in the new rink in Prospect Park.

Everyone had a great time and we can't wait to go again.

Will went running today.

Crazy.

It was a high of 12.  Wind chill of -14.

Crazy.

Just plain old crazy.

A Good Reason To Be Patient

We took a lovely walk through the woods.

And look what happened on the way.

Simon waited so patiently.

And he was rewarded!

All in all about 10 different birds landed on his hands.

Christmas Sledding

We went sledding Christmas afternoon!  Simon got two sleds as gifts so we had to try them out.



Waahoo!

Alan even cought some air.

Simon loved his new snowmobile sled.

And didn't mind trudging back up the hill.

That night we ate a Christmas tree.  Yum.

 

And Then There Were Presents

First we had a special visit from Santa on Christmas Eve.  Even though it was very cold out, it could not have been more charming.
 

Alan was supremely amused by his gift of a clam shell opener.  Packed in a clam shell.

Everyone enjoyed opening presents.

 

 

Funny?

We had finished dinner and were looking out the window at the snow.
Will calls to me, "Are you done eating, Mama?"
Simon says, "No."
And proceeds to start chewing on me.

Things We Did Before Christmas

We had some fun days at our favorite museums in Rochester.

We played pinball.


Lifted ourselves.

And built.
