A Great Adventure

On Saturday we went to Great Adventure for the first time ever.
(OK- not actually Will's first time, he used to go back in the late 70's and early 80's.)
We're not sure who was more excited- Simon or Mama.
Simon was excited because, well, he's 6.
Mama was excited because there are SERIOUS roller coasters that she was dying to ride.

This is on the big ferris wheel, we think it might be one of the best pictures of Simon ever.

And this is Daddy and Simon in the front of a roller coaster- if you look carefully you can just see Simon's hand.

The trip was wonderful.
Simon really was brave at trying rides- he determined that some were certainly too scary to do again and others were AWESOME!  He also was very smart about saying no thank you to rides he thought would be too scary.  It is good to know your own limits.
Mama got to ride three amazing coasters (Thanks to Will) and felt so happy it was ridiculous.

A couple of days ago, Simon picked a dandelion in the fluff stage and said, "I'm going to help you on your life cycle." and blew the fluff away.

Easter

Poor Simon was really sick for a couple of days and we had to cancel all kinds of fun stuff that was planned.  But luckily, even a sick boy can dye eggs.

And even more luckily, he recovered in time for Easter in Mountain Lakes.
I had dreams of a lovely family portrait- Lisi took many pictures- but this is one of the best we got.

And then there was the egg hunt!
Simon and the next door neighbor, Kyra, had a wonderful time hunting for eggs.  Aunt Lisi provided wonderful fun and kept the eggs hunt candy free!!!!
