Today was Simon's first day at Camp-A-Homa up here in Maine. He certainly has matured a lot this year as illustrated by a story he told us. This was after several other stories about how fun camp was.
Simon says, "Remember when I taught that girl how to be nice at Pier 6?"
Mama says, "Sort of."
"Well she was having trouble being good and I helped her. Today I did the same thing."
"What happened?"
"Well, there was this boy and he threw his backpack at me and it hit my face and knocked my glasses off. *note- Simon did have three light scratches on his face.* Well, I didn't like it. So I told the boy and then said to him that we could be friends instead. He listened and then we became friends that instant."
"Wow! That was really great of you."
"Yea- I was a peacemaker."
Simon's Kindergarten teacher, Ms. B really stressed being a peace maker in her class- we are sure she would be so proud. We're pretty proud too.
Vacation is wonderful so far- I'm not sure I'll be able to post pictures 'til we're back, but if there are any other great stories I'll get those up.
