We went to Great Adventure for the first time this season. It was a great day. It was almost a horrible day too. We went to ride Simon's favorite roller coaster, Runaway mine train, we waited on line, got on the ride, and then it brooke and we had to get off. So sad. But we all rallied and ended up with so much happiness.
Here's Simon on the Swashbuckler- otherwise known as the barf ride.
Here is on the Buccaneer- a ride that he loved at ages 3 and 4 was terrified of at ages 5 and 6 and has now re-conquered.

We then survived some very cold rain which turned out to be great because lots of people left the park. We rode Runaway Mine Train after that, then a bigger coaster called Rolling Thunder and then…. Drum roll…. Simon wanted to ride El Toro. It is one of the most famous wooden coasters in the world with a 76 degree, 176 foot drop that reaches 70 miles an hour.
And yes, Simon asked to ride it again. and would have ridden it yet again if we didn't insist that we go home.
