Our Thanksgiving Morning 1

We had an amazing morning this Thanksgiving.  We were given tickets to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade from grandstands along Central Park West.


To get there in time we left the house before 6am!!

Simon was very excited.  (Someone else in our family was pretty excited too.)

 

Baby Phoebe

We took Simon to meet baby Phoebe for the first time.  Phoebe is the super cute (and noisy) child of our friends Deeanna and Raph.

Simon thought she was wonderful and held three seperate times- probably for a total of at least 15 minutes. It was dowright adorable.
 

More About Reading

Tonight, during bedtime songs, Simon said,
"Mama, do you know what my favorite thing is?"
"What, little bug?"
"Reading."

Sigh.  There are some moments when being a parent is wonderful.

Reading A Lot

This may not mean much to most of you, but Simon just finished all of the Captain Underpants books in 6 days.  Even though he had school and homework.

A Day In The Country

We spent the day upstate at Muscoot farms- Simon and I bonded with these really ugly turkeys.  Simon wanted to warn them that Thanksgiving was coming.


We also got a kick out of the really big pigs.
