Fun In Northampton

The fun hasn't ended yet. We are in Northampton to celebrate a family wedding and having fun until we do.

We are having fun in our own city today. 

Matilda

The hype is right.  Matilda was an excellent show. And now Simon is convinced he wants to be a performer.

We Climb Ropes

This morning we conquered a ropes course. Or at least some of a ropes course. Simon was very brave, strong, and persistent. And a little bit crazy. It was a great time and we want to do it again next year. 

Last Day In Maine

We took full advantage of our last day here and went sailing. Simon even got to steer the boat. 

We also looked for wild life. 

After we had a dinner which featured dessert. 

We know Simon really loved his time in Maine. 

What Is Maine Famous For?

I'm not sure the photo is good enough to see the beautiful low bush blueberries. We went to Beech Hill today- an organic blueberry farm and preserve. We watched people harvesting too. Will remembers doing it as a teen. Hard work. 

Riley Camp

Simon is finishing up his second camp today. We wanted everyone to see how pretty the campus is. Truly bucolic. 

Beer!

I went on a beer tasting tour in Portland. We went to Alagash and 3 other very small breweries in Maine. 

The last beer I tried was a salt beer- brewed with sea water. Really. And I liked it a lot. Would be awesome with oysters. 

Wine And Giggles

Will and I did a wine tasting nearby. And laughed. A lot. Taking selfies seems to do that to us. 

How To Go Out To Dinner With Simon

Hiking Together Is Fun

Will and I took an awesome hike together- 7.5 miles and a bunch of up and down. It was really fun and lovely. The views were great but so were the long stretches of quiet trail.

Lobster Festival (Or Place With Rides)

Yesterday we went to the lobster festival in Rockland. It was mostly fun. Simon brought a friend who would only ride one ride. Simon worked hard to make the best of it. 

Will and I rode some too.

Look right in the center path of this pic. A peninsula that juts out is where Simon's camp is so Mama waves hello from her hike. 

Half A Vacation

Equals-

Several thorn scratches from hiking. 

A huge bruise from falling hiking. 

Uncountable mosquito bites. 

Lots of glitter that won't come out of hair. 

Two pairs of sea water and mud ruined shoes. 

One inexplicable rash. 

The inability to lift arms over the head from kayaking. 

We are having great time!
