Trip to the Poconos
We took a wonderful Memorial Day trip to the Poconos with Grandma Sue and Grandpa Steve. It was fantastic! There was so much fun including...
Playing in the giant boulder field in Hickory Run state park. None of us had ever seen anything quite like it.

Riding horses. Will's first ride as an adult- he liked it, Sue's manyeth ride, she liked it, Steve's almost as manyeth ride, he felt mellow, Julia's as manyeth ride, she liked it, Simon's first ride on a full sized horse. He LOVED it. He got off declaring that horse back riding is better than swimming. And he has been non-stop pestering us to do it again.
If you ever find your self in the poconos looking for a pretty trail ride with nice people- Daisy Field Farm cannot be beat.
River walking.
Not pictured were several other hikes, two picnics, a morning playing in a lake beach, swiming in the hotel pool (three times), air hockey with Grandpa, and coming in a post soon- a hot air balloon ride,
No wonder Simon didn't want to go back to school this morning.
A HUGE thank you to Grandma Sue and Grandpa Steve who made this whole magical trip possible.
Greedy Goat
Simon's class recently put on a play- Simon was the narrator and had lots of lines to memorize. He did a great job- here is a just a few minutes of the spectacle. Note- the play was full of knock-knock jokes so the donkeys say, "donkeys fit these locks!"
PS- Simon has taken over the family camera during the last month- this has made blogging more difficult. I promise to try to get back in the swing of things.
