We recently had a full day hat ended late and when we came home Simon had to go straight to pajama time. Instead of arguing he wrote this for us. We agreed it was sad and helped him get in bed.

Ferris Wheel at Toys r Us
We've had an eventful weekend but there's not too much photographic evidence. Saturday included a fun dance show at the New Victory theater- lunch at schnipper's- a ride on the toy r us ferris wheel (video above)- a trip to the M&M store in times square- and wandering (happily) around Rockefeller Center. Sunday was a very nice visit to Mountain Lakes.

Tickle Fight!
Simon, Daddy, and a large box are all invovled in a tickle fight. Look for the serious giggles from air tickles near the end.

Career Ideas
Tonight at dinner Simon began to speculate on being many things when he grows up, all at the same time.
"On Monday I'll be a doctor. On Tuesday, the circus. On Wednesday I'll be the firetiruck. (sic)On Thursday a home builder. Then the circus again on the Friday and both days of the weekend."
I pointed out that he had left out teacher, somethiung he had earlier been saying would be a career. He added,
"Then the next Monday I'll be the teacher. Then the next Tuesday I'll be the doctor."
ps- circus means being a clown. Really, this is his dream.

rumsumsum.mp4
A flashback! Posted for Aunt Erica who is having Rum Sum Sum requested by Iva.
The words, as we sing it- there are many versions- are..
Rum sum sum,
a rum sum sum,
ulli-goolli-goolli-goolli
rum sum sum.
A raffi! A raffi!
Ulli-goolli-goolli-goolli
rum sum sum.
This video doesn't give you the exact timing- but it'll help. The best track we've heard is by Laurie Berkner- she does it very well with instructions too.
Wet, Fun, and Fast
Why is Simon standing on the street in the rain with a banjo player?
Because Daddy ran a race today. It was very rainy so we didn't stay for the kid's races, but Simon and I had fun dancing to the banjo music. There were bands the whole way so Will had fun running despite the rain. And he did 7:23 miles! Fast!
