Mama and Simon were deep in discussion. Probably about cake. Or chocolate. Or Ice Cream.
Simon helped Grandma Sue cool off.
Another great shot of the waterfall walk.
Simon got to see some of the Cape beach stones he helped collect part way through the polishing process. He even brought one home to add to his rock collection.

Rochester (Part 5)
Rochester (Part 4)
Mama's favorite part of the trip was going to a small and wonderful amuesment park she went to as a child, Seabreeze. That ment yet another carousel ride!
Simon took his boat captaining job very seriously. (Actually he grinned head off thorugh most of the ride.)
He loved this tippy turtle ride!
So much that he rode it agin later!

Rochester (Part 3)
We took a wonderful walk in a creek with little waterfalls.
Simon got to see Pa-Pa Steve's beautiful new office and get gushed over by the staff there.
And we had a great time blasting off the rocket Uncle Alan brought.
Here everybody is safely back as we count down.
But it turned out that we plenty far away to be safe as the rocket merely hic-cupped about two inches. We'll try again next summer.

Rochester (Part 2)
Uncle Alan pushed Simon at the playground.
Pa-Pa Steve showed Simon the Erie Canal. (On the way home from Rochester the song "15 Miles On the Erie Canal" came on and Simon got all excited that he had just seen a canal.)
We visited Great Grandma every day. Simon liked showing her things that were special too him.
And he liked telling her jokes.

Rochester (Part 1)
Simon was very happy to be in Rochester.
We did a lot of fun things. One the best things we did with Grandma Sue was visit a local farm market that has a petting area. Here we are getting food for the sheep, goats, deer, rabbits, donkeys, and a pink (!?!) chicken.
Simon loved feeding the animals. This is a sheep even though Will and I thought it looked more like an Ewok.
Simon and Daddy were fascinated by the glassed in bee-hive.

What's Going On In August?
A very triumphant Will fixed our digital camera all on his own! Hooray for Will!
Simon is taking his trumpet practice very seriously.
Mama and Simon play trains. A lot. Daddy also plays trains a lot. Simon plays trains even more. Anyone want to come over and play trains too?
Simon helps make pancakes.

Fun in Early August
We had a nice trip to the Bronx zoo where we saw a baby sea lion! Truly one of the cutest things ever.
Simon got great rolling-down-hills insrtuction from his be-hatted Grandma Jean. (Credit goes to Aunt Lisi for providing the hat and hill.)
And- meals are going to be soooo much more fun now! Uncle Robert and Aunt Lisi give the best gifts!
